IPTV on a Fire TV Stick, set up the safe way
The Fire TV Stick is the most popular way to add IPTV to any TV with an HDMI port. Some player apps are in the Amazon Appstore; others need the Downloader app. This guide covers both, without risky shortcuts.
Walkthrough
Install a player on Fire TV in six steps
First check the Amazon Appstore: search “IPTV player”. If the app we recommend is there, install it and skip to step 5.
Prepare
Enable developer options
Settings → My Fire TV → About, then click the device name seven times until “You are a developer” appears.
Install
Install Downloader
Search “Downloader” in the Appstore and install it. It is a free, widely used tool.
Allow
Allow Downloader to install apps
Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps → Downloader: On.
Download
Get the player from a confirmed link
Enter the link we send you for your player in Downloader, install, then choose “Delete” to remove the installer file.
Log in
Enter your Trex IPTV details
Open the player, choose the login type and enter the details from our message.
Tidy
Switch “unknown apps” off again
Once installed, turn the Downloader permission off. Your player keeps working.

Watch your storage
Fire TV Sticks have limited space. Uninstall apps you do not use and keep 500 MB free.
Clear the player cache
Settings → Applications → Manage installed applications → your player → Clear cache.
Use 5 GHz or an adapter
Join the 5 GHz network, or add an Ethernet adapter for a wired connection.
Use the official power adapter
TV USB ports often do not supply enough power, which causes slowdowns and restarts.

Is installing apps with Downloader safe?
Downloader itself is a legitimate tool. The risk lies in what you download, so use only links from the app developer or links we confirm, and switch the permission off afterwards.
Does Amazon block IPTV apps on Fire TV?
Amazon decides which apps appear in its store. Some IPTV players are listed; others are installed directly from their developers. Fire TV allows this once you enable it in developer options.
My Fire TV Stick restarts during playback. Why?
Usually insufficient power from a TV USB port, or overheating behind the TV. Use the original power adapter and the HDMI extender that came in the box.
